Central Agricultural University

Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal was established through the Central Agricultural University Act, 1992 and became operational in 1993. The university serves multiple North Eastern states including Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Tripura. CAU operates numerous constituent colleges across the North East and offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Sciences, Fisheries Science, Food Technology, Forestry and Agricultural Engineering. The university plays a major role in promoting sustainable agriculture and agricultural innovation in the North Eastern region of India.
